Our first reported thirty of 2017

Pleased to say Howells has done its first 30 of the year over the weekend, still 2 months or more until spawning , we should see a few more over that time , most fish that are coming out are over 20lb with a lot of upper 20’s all looking nice.

Rob Kidd with the Common known as Breezeblock at 30lb 6oz.

Hopefully the thirties in Totham Pit and Slough House Farm will now follow suit and put in an appearance soon…

Portaloo switch over

Good news, the shiny new portaloos have been delivered to Slough House Farm and Howells and are ready to use.

Thank you to Ryan for sorting these out for us.

Night fishing at Slough House Farm

There has been a bit of confusion recently so just to clarify, all night permit holders are allowed to fish two consecutive nights at Slough House Farm between 1st Nov and 31st Mar (followed by a 24 hour break from that fishery).  The one night restriction returns on 1st Apr.  All other night venues allow three consecutive nights fishing all year round.  Members joining for the 2017-18 season early with a standard night permit can start night fishing from Christmas day onwards.

Found at Slough House Farm

A member who visited Slough House Farm on Friday 14th Oct has found what looks like a car parcel shelf or floor panel leaning against the car park fence. It may be that someone removed it to facilitate tackle movement and then forgot about it.  If the item is yours, and you would like it returned, please contact David the Secretary on the phone number shown in the rulebook and he will put you in touch with the member who has taken it home.

All night permits for this season are now sold out

Standard night permits for the 2016-17 season are now sold out as all 120 have been sold.  These will go back on sale for the 2017-18 season in December 2016 and will be valid from Christmas day with night fishing until 31st March 2017 included at no extra charge.  Howells night permits have been sold out since May.  Any free spaces for the 2017-18 season will go on sale on 1st April 2017.

Evening workparty at Slough House Farm

Slough House Farm will be closed to fishing from 5pm on Monday 8th August for a working party to open up some of the swims which have become overgrown.  Any help you can give will be gratefully received.
