Members are reminded that Rook Hall and Whitehouse Farm reservoir are now closed for the 4 month duck shooting season and will re-open on Friday 1st Feb 2019.  Night fishing at Bog Grove has now started for all night permit holders and runs through until the 30th April 2019.

3 rods are now allowed on all venues for all standard night permit and Howells night permit holders as well as for members who have purchased the £30 winter 3 rod upgrade.  Regardless of which night permit you have you can use 3 rods on all venues including Howells.

As we still have standard night permits for sale members now can upgrade to a night ticket for £32.50 (or just £2.50 if you already have a £30 winter 3 rod upgrade).

Two consecutive nights are allowed on Slough House Farm from Thu 1st Nov.

From 1st October the half price winter ticket to fish until the end of the season will again be available. To join please print off this Winter Ticket Application Form 2018-19  follow the instructions and post it off to the membership secretary or take your photos (or old membership card) and payment to JP Tackle or Angling Essentials from Mon 1st Oct where you can join in person and go fishing straight away.  Half price standard night permits upgrades are also available priced £32.50 from the membership secretary and JP Tackle only which also allow you to use 3 rods on all venues.  If you bought a £30 winter three rods upgrade earlier in the season you can now upgrade this to a standard night permit for just £2.50.

Bog Grove will still produce a fish or two even in these conditions.

The coaching sessions organised by the Angling Coaching Initiative in conjunction with KDAA and MAS have been most successful since the first one held on the 19th May with up to ten participants at sessions.  Although ACI have a pool of Volunteer Coaches it is not sufficiently large enough to ensure they can provide one to one coaching particularly during the summer school holiday period owing to many of the volunteers being unavailable due to their own holidays and other commitments.  If you are able to help, even for just one or two sessions can you please contact Chris Burt on 07917 781299 or via email at chris@candjb.co.uk.  It is fun and most rewarding.

We expect to be advertising soon for anyone who would like to join our junior coaching sessions. If any parents or guardians also have an interest in learning then you will be welcome to come along too. We shall ask for applications just as soon as we have confirmation from Sport England that our Grant application to buy all the tackle we need has been approved.
