New lake record carp caught from Slough House Farm

Graham Spooner fished a 24 hour session at Slough House Farm and in the early hours of the morning managed to bag a new lake record 33lb 7oz Mirror.  As this is the first confirmed thirty pounder to be caught from Slough House Farm we have agreed that Graham can name this impressive fish ‘The Spoon’.

Slough House Farm night fishing now permanently extended

It was agreed at the 5th March 2014 committee meeting to make the temporary winter night fishing extension at Slough House Farm into a permanent one so night fishing at Slough House Farm is now all year round.  This is now included in the 2014-15 standard night permit and Howells night permit at no extra charge.  The maximum 1 night limit remains in place.

All night permits are now sold out

As of 7.30pm on Wed 21st Aug both types of night permit (Howells and Standard) are now sold out for the 2013/14 season.  Howells night permits will go back on sale on 1st Apr 2014 and standard night permits from the date of the annual general meeting (TBC).  All night permit holders can use 3 rods from the 1st Oct and non night permit holders wanting to use 3 rods can purchase an additional 3 rod permit upgrade costing £30 which is valid from 1st Oct 2013 to 31st Mar 2014.

Howells night permits sold out

All 50 Howells night permits are now sold so please do not apply for an upgrade for the remainder of the 2013/14 season.  For more info please refer to the night permits page.  A waiting list for next season is being maintained by Dean Andrews.  Members only can add their names to this waiting list by emailing Dean at one-too-prove@yahoo.co.uk.

Scott’s back

Scott has been fishing elsewhere for a few years but he is back on Howells this season and got off to a flyer on his first session back with this 24lb-ish half linear Mirror as one half of a brace of April twenties:

Scott said “I had this 24 and a 27 on a Saturday over night session – happy days and the bait is working! Glad to be back…”.

By the way there are only 3 Howells night permits left so if you are thinking of renewing your ticket please move fast as these will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

Howells Night Permits

All of the spare Howells night permits have now been taken up and the remaining 23 are reserved for existing Howells night permit holders until the 1st April.  Please click here for more info and re-apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
