2nd August – Notice of disruption at Little Parks Main Lake

On Sunday 2nd August we will be testing out our pump at little parks main lake. We will be there for a couple of hours and there will be some noise and disruption. We are sorry for this, but we need to test it. And make sure the first response team know how to set it up if we had an oxygen crash on a water. Please do NOT come to the lake to see us in action. As social distancing still applies, and we don’t want everyone there. Just a selected team of bailiffs and those that may be fishing. So, this is a warning for anyone that may be fishing there Sunday. I am sure there will be some pictures and videos of it in action next week. Have a great weekend stay safe in the sunshine and I hope you all get to wet a line. Many thanks MAS Team

Little Parks Work Party on Sat 19th Jan

Happy New Year!

We will be holding a working party on Saturday 19th January 2019 at Little Parks. We will be opening up swim canopies, clearing marginal snags and removing snagged tackle from the island.

The fishery will be closed for the day, but we encourage members to attend for a few hours to lend a hand.

We will begin working at 9am and finish at around 2pm.

Hoping to see a few old and new faces.

If you can attend please drop an email to grahamestuart@virginmedia.com

Short session in between doing the school run

I was after a bream or two today on a short session in between school runs but ended up with this 14lb carp in great condition from Little Park, Langford, on some light gear.   Had to pack up at 2.30 if I was going to make it in time to pick the kids up from school and hooked it at exactly 2.30 so I was late.  This is the first time I’ve sent a picture in to the club. Cheers - Ian

Rod lost on Little Park Top Lake

One of our members had his 10’ Shakespeare rod dragged in at Little Parks small lake the other day. Fishing for Bream as well. Only a cheap rod and reel but is his favourite. If found please can you contact the membership secretary or email webmaster@maldonas.co.uk.  Thank you on behalf of David.

Kelvin’s latest catch

This weeks catch is from Little Park Main lake this time 2 decent Bream at 8lb 1oz and 6lb 9oz, 4 more at about 2lb 8oz each and a decent Roach.

Nice to see that the big old Bream in Little Park obviously had a successful spawn a few years ago, as I’ve never had small bream from the lake before.

High water at Little Park now on the move

Thank you to Ryan and Ken for clearing the blocked overflow pipe at Little Park which had started to flood.

Hopefully the water level will return to normal in the next day or two.
