New Hall Reservoir CLOSED

Unfortunately we can no longer fish New Hall Reservoir at Purleigh after receiving this note from the owners:

We have had a discussion regarding the reservoir at New hall and its use as a fishing lake.  Unfortunately we can no longer continue to allow it to be used for public fishing.

The extensive work needed to comply with our health and safety policy (especially to safely access the banks on the sewage works side) combined with ongoing maintenance and the need to increase security around the vineyard makes it uneconomical to offer for public use.

I hope you understand this decision and that it has not been taken lightly.  Please take this notice as cancellation of the agreement between New hall Vineyards and Maldon Angling Society.

Kind Regards – The Owners.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to members and ask that you no longer visit the lake with immediate effect.
