Michael Bennett equalled his personal best Tench at Little park recently and takes up the story:

“I’ve only ever caught two of this species, both in the last month.  I used a pole, size 16 hook and bread as bait.  The fish came in a frenetic session of small roach, perch, rudd and carp.  Our landing net collapsed as we brought it in and my dad had to carefully balance himself over the water to retrieve both net and fish!”
