Swims dug out at Slough House Farm

The digger has now been and gone at Slough House Farm and all of the previously overgrown reedbed swims have been dug out.  On the steeper areas of bank some of the swims have been levelled off too.  This has opened up the narrow channel and nearside of the island which has been largely unfishable for over a year, especially while the irrigation pump was operating.  The owner of the lake oversaw the works, and also asked for some small trees to be removed, so that the swims could be properly opened up and hopefully remain fishable throughout the whole of next season rather than quickly getting overgrown by reeds again as has happened previously.
