EA Launch New Rod Licence Service

New Look Rod Licence

New Look Rod Licence

The Environment Agency has launched its new rod licence service today and new prices. The new design (pictured) is much more convenient, the licence is water resistant and credit-card sized making it easy to fit into your wallet, purse or pocket. Fewer of your personal details are on display on the rod licence making it more secure for you.

The new licence can be purchased online, by direct debit, at your local post office or by phone.

For full details visit the EA website.

Great Work Party at Totham Pit

Just a quick note to say what an excellent work party we had on Sunday 15 Feb 09, we managed to clear a fair bit of rubbish from the car park (still some to go to the scrap yard). Some of the guys went off and cleared the outflow pipe and the overgrowing vegetation in some of the swims.

The rest of us cleared a lot of the dead wood and fallen trees from the island area and from behind Colliers Bay.

I would personally like to thank, Sam Gower, Danny Gower, Andy Thomas, Dean Andrews, James Swinden, Matt Gothard, Malcolm Gardiner, Bomber, Paul Kemp, Jack Walker & Pete Newell for all their hard work – a JWD (job well done).

Thanks Lads & I hope to see you all at the next one.

Regards from
Laurence Reeves – Fishery Management Officer

EA announce new-look rod licence service

The Environment Agency has announced details of it’s new-look rod licence service being introduced from 2nd March 2009. Details Below…or go to the Environment Agency Website.

Full season rod licences will look totally different. The new design is much more convenient, the licence is water resistant and credit-card sized making it easy to fit into your wallet, purse or pocket. Fewer of your personal details are on display on the rod licence making it more secure for you. It also looks better as it contains a picture of a perch or a salmon on the back.

Full season licences will be posted out within a couple of days of you buying your licence but you can go fishing straight away.

We will be sending reminder letters to our full licence holders in March to remind them to buy a new licence. If you keep hold of this letter and have it to hand when you buy your rod licence then we won’t have to take all of your details off you again making it much quicker to buy your new licence.
