Bunch of keys found at Totham Pit

One of the bailiffs (Ken) at Totham Pit has been given a bunch of keys that someone left hanging in the lock on 30th March (Good Friday).  If they are yours please contact Ken or email the webmaster on webmaster@maldonas.co.uk

Howells and Slough House Bankside Warning

Howells is extremely waterlogged and boggy in places.  Please can members take care and use common sense when walking round and setting up so as not to churn the bank side and swims up too much please.

Also I am receiving reports that Slough House Farm is very muddy after all of the recent rain and the farmer is regularly accessing the site for sugar beet storage purposes.  Please proceed to your swim with caution especially if using a barrow which is likely to sink into the mud.

Finally the car park at Slough House West is very muddy due to winter tractor activity, you might want to avoid visiting at the moment unless you have a four wheel drive vehicle.

The toilet at Slough House Farm has been stolen

Please be aware that the toilet at Slough House Farm was stolen sometime between Fri evening 2nd Mar and today Tue 6th Mar. If anybody knows anyone that was fishing between these times please can you ask them if they saw anything suspicious and pass on any information to Ryan Boot on the phone number listed in the rulebook or by email to webmaster@maldonas.co.uk

I was after Roach but…

Kelvin Willis wrote:  This 12lb Common gave me the run around on a size 18, 3lb bottom end and an ultra light waggler rod. Thought I’d go down to see if I could get some Slough House roach on the long range light waggler, ended up with no roach, 2 bites, this carp and an ugly 3lb tench (see gallery) on single red maggot. Not quite the day I had expected but a good one nonetheless. Worryingly there were 2 Cormorants having a field day down there today.
